2017 Festa Coloniale

The Festa Coloniale Italiana was originated in 2008 to celebrate the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club’s 90 years in our North Beach community of San Francisco.
The Festa is a family oriented Italian culture and heritage event that has become a yearly treat.  It is the only Italian Festa in San Francisco.  This year's celebration will be held on Stockton Street between Union and Filbert streets, in San Francisco's Little Italy, in the heart of North Beach across from Washington Square Park and Saints Peter and Paul Church.
This wonderful community-based cultural event will be celebrating the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club's (SFIAC) 99th year as an official Italian social, cultural, and sports club (created in 1917 but officially incorporated in 1918) in San Francisco and is free to the public.
The Festa will showcase the SFIAC's facilities, located at 1630 Stockton Street. Our main ballroom will be transformed into an Italian piazza that will include a central fountain, vintage Italian motorcycles, scooters, Italian historical exhibits, a full Italian Bar and Italian-themed vendors. The facility will also feature the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri (Italy’s first force after unification – Italy’s National Police) and the Guardians of the City, a tribute to San Francisco's police, firefighters and other first responders.
Stockton Street will be closed from Union Street to Filbert Street to accommodate additional Italian-themed vendors, vintage Italian automobiles, and a large stage featuring these performers:
  • A tribute to Frank Sinatra featuring the vocal talents of John DeMers
  • Bella Ciao
  • The Ricco Italian Dancers
  • Carlo con Amici
  • Moreno Fruzzetti, 'The Ambassador of Italian Music to America'
  • The Ricco Italian Dancers
  • Pizza Toss, featuring Tony Gemignani, 12 Time World Pizza Champion.
  • The North Beach Boys featuring Rene Sevieri
