Hall Rental and Banquet Facilities

Located in the heart of North Beach on Washington Square, the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC) has played host to generations of weddings, movie shoots, dinners, luncheons and just about every type of party. Our rooms have just the right ambiance and setting for your important events. Our very professional staff has a long history of high quality service at events held here at our facility.

Our facility features two unique rooms to serve your needs.

Banquet Hall

The Main Banquet Hall seats up to 250 or 350 standing. It features a full length carpeted bar area in the rear of the room, a large hardwood floor area for dining and dancing, an area for a stage, men’s restroom and women’s lounge, and coat check area in the entry lobby.

Presidents’ Room

This new addition to our facility is a more intimate room on the third floor with a private outdoor balcony overlooking Washington Square and Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. The room features an elegant sitting area with comfortable couches surrounding a graceful fireplace and a dining/meeting area adjacent that is equipped with the latest audio visual technology for computerized presentations.

Food and Beverage Service

Local and seasonal ingredients are the main components and drivers of our modern North Beach cuisine along with our traditional Old World Italian menus. We are pleased to offer you inclusive food and beverage packages as well as a la carte choices to mirror your vision and budget.

Some examples of our offerings are:

Appetizers

Assorted Focaccia, Seared Bay Scallops with Basil Oil, Smoked Salmon with Crème Fraiche, and Capers Crostini. Skewered Sausage and Red Bell Peppers, Spicy Chicken Wings, Ceci Beans, Goat Cheese and Red Peppers Crostini, Bufala Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Assorted Frittata, Napoleon of Tuna Tartare, Herb-Marinated Olives and Artichoke Hearts.

Salads

Hearts of Romaine Caesar with Shaved Parmigiano and Croutons, Radicchio with Goat Cheese, Roasted Walnuts, Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Arucola with Burrata Cheese tossed in Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Pasta

Ravioli, Tortellini, Penne, Paparadelle and Rigatoni in sauces like Fresh Tomato and Basil,
All' Amatriciana with Guanciale, Duck Ragu', Pesto, Bolognese, Walnut and Mascarpone Cream Sauces are some of our popular offerings. We make Arborio Risotto with Porcini Mushrooms or with Italian Sausage, Red Bell Peppers and Goat Cheese.

Entrees

Roasted Rosemary Flavored Half Chicken, Filet of Salmon or Halibut in Capers and Lemon Sauce, a Juicy Roasted New York Strip Marinated in Rosemary, Garlic and Virgin Olive Oil, a Succulent Roasted Lamb Shank, Braised Rabbit with Red Wine and Polenta. Braised Chicken Cacciatore with Olives and Artichoke Hearts.

Homemade Desserts

Include such Italian favorites such as Tiramisu' and Cannoli or any dessert made in North Beach.
